Spring is in the air at Lake Tahoe! With the longer days, spring sunshine and amazing corn snow come some of our favorite Tahoe events!

	Spring Music Series Where: Alpine Meadows When: March 15 – April 26 Kick up your feet and relax on the Sundeck for an afternoon of funky beats and good times every weekend this spring at Alpine Meadows. Bands include Tracorum, The Nibblers, Sambada, Stung “Police Tribute Band”, and many more!
	2014 Nature Valley US Alpine Championships Where: Squaw Valley When: March 19 – 23 The U.S. Alpine Championships are a culmination of the ski racing year which brings together the U.S. Ski Team and hundreds of young athletes from U.S. Ski and Snowboard Association club programs from across the country. Complete with opening ceremonies, parties, and world-class racing.
	Pain McShlonkey Classic Where: Squaw Valley When: March 29 Dress up in your most outrageous ski duds and come out to Squaw Valley for a day full of belly laughs, camaraderie, and philanthropy in celebration of legendary skier Shane McConkey. Celebrated for his playful spirit, McConkey was the mastermind behind the original Pain McShlonkey Open that debuted in 2003.
	80’s Dress Up Day Where: Homewood When: March 29 Grab your skinny skies, put on your neon headband, and don the one-piece because Homewood Mountain Resort is hosting the best ski day of the year – with none other than a homemade photo booth to capture all the retro glory. Compete in the Skinny Ski Race and win rad prizes!
	Skinny-Ski-a-Thon Where: Squaw Valley When: Monday, March 31 The skinny ski-a-thon is all about supporting a great cause while having a great day on KT-22. Participants will first get pledges from family, friends, and businesses for each lap they ski. They will then strap on a pair of skinny skis (70mm or less) and see how many laps they can complete in a day. All proceeds benefit the High Fives Non-Profit Foundation.
	Spring it On!  Where: Northstar California When: April 5 & 6 Head to Northstar for the annual Spring It On! An event offering something for everyone. Guests can enjoy complimentary face painting, balloon artist, a pond skim, live music, and more. All activities are free to participate in.
	Spring Ski Party Where: Tahoe Donner When: April 5 Celebrate spring at Tahoe Donner at the Spring Ski Party! Enjoy a barbecue, live music, and a special outdoor bar. Skiing will be extended to 5:45 pm. Attendees will be entered into a free drawing to win a 2014-15 Season Pass.
	Snow Golf Where: Alpine Meadows When: April 12 As the only top-to-bottom snow golf course, this highly anticipated spring event is a unique way to spend a day on the slopes. The nine-hole course starts at the top of Summit Express and meanders its way down the mountain with the last hole ending up at the bottom of the Alpine Bowl Chair.
	Tahoe Truckee Earth Day Celebration Where: Squaw Valley When: April 19 This all-ages, community sponsored event gives participants an opportunity to learn about recycling, composting, alternative energy, sustainability, watershed and forest health, and reducing ecological footprints via a diverse array of agency representatives and earth-friendly vendors. Enjoy live music, a “trashion” show and environmental fun at the largest eco-event in the North Lake Tahoe/Truckee area.
	Cushing Crossing Where: Squaw Valley When: TBD (Keep your eye on Squaw’s event calendar) The Cushing Crossing is Squaw Valley’s acclaimed pond skimming event that challenges participants to cross the vast and chilly waters of Cushing Pond on skis, a snowboard or any ski or snowboard-based vessel. The event is known for colossal crashes, hilarious costumes, and ultra-creative pond skimming contraptions.
