New Snow at Squaw Valley and the Skiing is Awesome!

Last night Squaw Valley received 6-8 inches of new snow in the Village with 12 inches plus on the upper mountain and the skiing was awesome!  Many people said that today was the first official day of the ski season as the resorts are starting to go into full operations with more lifts and trails opening daily.

TahoeWeatherDiscussion.com is calling for up to 5′ of new snow between now and Christmas, which is an awesome way to get the season rolling and visitors will be stoked to have lots of fresh snow to ski on.  A white Chrismas and New Years in Tahoe will improve tourism and local businesses will have a great New Years if the snow predictions hold true.
